Upon an early return this morning...

ES: Couple of Chrysler 200 convertibles, a few Camaros and Mustangs, a Hyundai Genesis, Buick Regal, and a few Chrysler 300 sedans.

Was just there on 1/11/2013 @ 2:30 pm. At the ES, I just missed out on a new 300. Saw Maxima's, Regals, Camaro's, then I spotted a Prius. I always wanted to try that car. Got in and saw it had only 137 miles! Took me a bit to figure it out. I had to have the attendant show me the park button, but boy did I save on the gas bill! Safe Travels!

I was there yesterday morning during the MLK holiday weekend. There were no SUVs or Vans (my first choice). They had the following:

Executive: Several Maximas, 2 Cameros, 2 Chrysler, Malibu, Accords, and Genesis

Emerald: Impalas, Malibu, Passat, Altimas.

Popped in here over the weekend.

EA - Couple of Dodge minivans, couple of Chevy Impalas and new Nissan Altimas, one Hyundai Sonata and the most interesting... new Ford Escape.

ES - three Nissan Maximas, two Chevy Suburbans, a handful of 300s, a Ford Taurus, a Dodge Charger, and a Dodge Challenger.

Any Recent Experiences at SNA?

Heading to Orange County in September for my annual trip. Made it to Executive Status and am hoping for a SUV. I've never had a problem getting whatever vehicle I wanted in the Emerald section of LAX though feel that SNA is a roll of the dice. Any recent experiences?

Frequently rent from SNA and of late it's felt like the vehicles on the aisles were hit or miss. Cars definitely dominate the aisles.

April 26: ZERO vans/SUVs/Crossovers (note: DECA conference at ACC)
May 24: quite a few available
May 26: 1 Traverse (ES), 1 Compass (EA)
June 8: Caravans, Escape, Suburban, Traverse, Compass, Grand Cherokee
June 20: Caravans, Escape, Compasses, Journey
June 22: Nothing, but waited 15 minutes and an Equinox appeared

Doing student leadership training... anytime a CTSO does a National Conference at the Anaheim Convention area, SNA runs out of large vehicles as the advisers rent them all to transport their students. The April 26th weekend (DECA International Career Development Conference) made the Disneyland Hotel parking lot look like a Dodge dealership that only sold Caravans.

FYI Future Business Leaders of America is doing their conference this weekend at Anaheim Convention Center / Anaheim Marriott so expect slim pickings.

Around 9:15pm yesterday (Tues, 2013-07-02)

EA: RAV4, 2xEscape, Captiva, Equinox, Patriot, Rogue
ES: 3xTaurus Lim, Avalon, Passat

Of course lots of Maximas and Challengers. No Vans - Equinox was the biggest thing on either Aisle.

Slight off topic question. How far is National at SNA from the American Airlines baggage claim? I'll have 2 large bags, so I'm wondering if I lug my bags over or drive back after getting the car.

It's lined up more with Terminal B than AA's Terminal A, across the car lanes, and down one level. You can lug your bags there easy.

I'm always shocked at how cramped and claustrophobic this location is. That aside, the EA and ES were both roughly half full this morning. The vast majority of what was available were small SUVs. There were a couple of Chargers and Foci, as well. I snagged a nearly new Escape, as it was close at hand.

As an EE, I put in a request a few days prior for an Infiniti QX56 - which is what I received.

How were you able to put in a request?

I called the location itself and spoke to a rep. They handled it personally.

IC. Did you initially reserve a mid-size?

I reserved an SUV. Tahoe grade. Not a premium.
