Executive Elite - Change Cars?
Hi,
My husband is Executive Elite but we never get to use the perks of it because we mainly rent from a small airport that doesn't have an Emerald Isle, it's strictly counter service.
We have a reservation for a week out of LFT but will be passing through JAN that does have an Emerald Isle. My question is can we stop at JAN and pick from their selection or does something have to be wrong with the car to change?

I've exchanged cars at other facilities if I wasn't satisfied (dirty car, etc).
I never had any problems, and they never inspected the car, i.e. if I said it was too dirty, they never went out to the car to verify if it was dirty.

What Troy says is generally true of *corporate* locations. If LFT is a licensee, though, you may not be able to switch.
If that is the case, you may want to just tell LFT that you'd like to swap at JAN and ask them to give you a Corporate car that you could swap.
Alternately -- as exec elite, you can reserve a Premium at the Full Size rate, which is usually only a few dollars different from the Midsize. Double-check the FCAR rate before logging into the National website -- I have found that sometimes the discount doesn't get applied correctly. If not, just note the correct rate for an FCAR, call Reservations, and get them to book it.
