Try www.ictravel.com

You will have to pay $65/month for either Sabre or Amadeus access :-(

(unless you make enough bookings and TICKET them)

Here's a link to another site that will give you the same information as seatmap.com

Yes but, much does this cost? If the cost is absorbed by a sufficient number of people, this might be a worth while investment.

This site uses Aeroplan data as well, so it does not provide any Galileo info. Sorry.

I would be willing to head this if some of you are willing to do the groundwork.

First off, would people be willing to pay $5 a month (a year upfront) to use this service? If so, maybe we can buy a corporate account with a travel agent, and have 15 people share it. My company will front the first year's subscription price, and I will collect the money from those that are interested, who will get the username/password in return.

Second, I would need to find a few places that offer to sell this service, so we can find the one with the most decent interface. Would maybe even Aeroplan be interested in selling their service?

I set up an email address at [email protected] for this. Obviously, this is an important enough feature to me that I am willing to pay for it.

hello Matthias and welcome to Flyertalk!

I guess you have discovered that finding specialized sources of travel information is a pretty passionate topic among the frequent flyer underground http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I think there could be some opportunities to come from this which could benefit both sides. The frequent flyer community has been looking for "the ideal tool" to provide availability, pricing, and booking capability. No tool since easysabre has come close to filling that role.

If a specialized tool could be developed that is geared towards the needs of the frequent flyer, I think most folks on this board would be happy to pay a small monthly maintenance fee as well as direct bookings to the sponsoring travel agent so they earn commissions.

here is an example of something I would gladly pay a monthly fee for: the ability to search from a single destination by airline and fare code to any destination. Example, I want to see all the "V" fares of Continental from FLL to all destinations, sorted from lowest to highest fare.

I think many of us could come up with more specialized search tools to add to the list, and all we need is a good programmer who can build the proper queries into the crs system, and a travel agent with the patience to deal with frequent flyers with an agenda http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

we will wait to hear from you with the results of your meeting on Monday.

On the BA forum someone posted a link to www.airlines.de. This site will is very similar to Galileo but it doesn't search for non published fare codes also it is all in German but rather easy to figure out. You do have to register but it is free.

Yes, I was simply implementing a front end to Aeroplan. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago Etour has changed its web site and the availability option was gone; then Aeroplan followed suit.

I don't know why alexwuk, who's running www.seatmap.com , now requires a password. I can assure you that www.airtravel.tk will remain free and open as long as traffic is not too much of a problem (with some 100 hits a day now, it's certainly OK). I will follow the developments with Aeroplan closely and will provide the English front end as soon as it's back.

Shuly
