OK, now is the time that we start emailing Galileo and try to figure out how to get a paid service going, I'm sure many of us here are willing to pay for access...

I completely agree with SCOTT C!

I must be out in the cold. What was/is Galileo and what was so useful about it?

Mark0001-de I don't know who you THINK you spoke to. The site has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with Aeroplan. Biggles. |
Biggles,
"Aeroplan" in this case is the name of the travel agency in Cologne / Germany that had offered free access to Galileo. It's got nothing to do with Air Canada's FFP. ------------------ truly yours. airOli. |
Most CRS contracts stipulate usage and override fee's. If all you do is look at information and do not book, it will end up costing the host agency money. If the people who had used this service and also booked tickets through this agency, I doubt there would have been any problems.

The only way you are going to make it worthwhile is if you book tickets in the same system--then the cost of using the information becomes a wash.

Isn't there something that Randy could do as part of this website? Think of the click through traffic ($$) it could generate. I'd also be willing to pay for a subscription service if it was as functional and expedient at EasySaber. Now I'm back to ITN.net 'professional mode' which is still quite lame but at least shows fare buckets.

Airoli, Thanks for the info. I had no idea that the site was supplied by "Aeroplan" Biggles. |

For sophisticated travel planners, this detailed availability information can be helpful in obtaining desired fares, specials, or frequent flier promotions.</font> |
