Leaving Luggage at Kennedy

Next month, I am flying to Kennedy on a Thursday, spending a day in the city at a couple of business meetings and then leaving Friday night for a week's vacation. I will have two bags - one for business that will have the clothes etc. I need for Friday and a second one for the vacation.

Here's what I thought - I would like to check the vacation suitcase Thursday overnight at a luggage storage facility and then pick it up Friday night for my onward trip.

Any recommendations? How secure are these facilities? I've never used them but I'm not looking forward to lugging a heavy suitcase for 24 hours.

thanks in advance

soon after sep-11 JFK closed all luggage storage facilities. I would leave the luggage at a JFK airport hotel (just tip the bellboy).

How about using a pack and ship, and send your casual stuff to the next destination?

Actually, I believe the left luggage facilities in terminals 1 and 4 are still open for business.

Good suggestions so far.

But since this isn't really a discussion of how to redeem miles for luggage storage, or how to earn miles by dropping off luggage, I suspect it's a bit misplaced here in MilesBuzz.

I'll move it to TravelBuzz.
