Note on Baggage Allowance Comparison on Business/First Class on Airlines
I was just doing a comparision and was quite surprised to learn the following. Getting seats to India in Business or First from the US this time of the year it is an ordeal practically next to impossible.
I have changed and re-issued so many tickets that I learnt the following in the last few weeks.
I have noticed that besides BA/DL/NW/CO/KL, other carriers like LH/LX/AA have a limit of 2 checked in pieces of luggage VS 3 pieces of checked luggage on the former airlines mentioned above.
I always assumed that if you were traveling in Business or First you had the luxury of 3 checked in pieces irrespective if you were an elite member of that airline or alliance you were flying on.
However, that is not the case. If anyone has inputs to add to this, it would be appreciated.
