How about West Palm Beach area in late fall or Winter? About 2.5 hours by road to Orlando and 6 hours to Key West (yes Florida is a long state). Can assure a good establishment here or in the Keys for those so inclined to be VERY laid back. Church goers in Keys go in shorts! I can do arrangements if anyone is interested. Do like the southern CA area too if people are not inclined to come here.

If there is serious interest in Chicago, I'd be willing to host, as long as it's a weekend (I'm in Boston until the end of June). Chicago in June can either be hot & humid or alright. No weather guarantees!

I vote for Chicago, Spring/Summer...name the weekend, and I'm there (except weekend 7/17/-18)!
Fabulous restuarants....lots of nightlife, great Jazz! Oh, yea, and the shopping on magnificant mile, makes me smile!
