any ideas on which is the better FF program: USAir vs United??
due to wife's corporate travel and the Delta/United expiration, I'm trying to compare the 2 programs. Can anyone give insight on which is a better program? Appreciate any help..
USAIR vs. UNITED
or any other airline that would allow me to get miles for the above airline's flights... thanks!

I think we will need a lot more information. What routes do you fly? Do you fly discount coach, unrestricted coach, or paid business fares? Any international travel? How much do you fly each year?

well neither airline has a hub here in houston or anywhere close. Just that once in a while, the wife's corp travel agent books her on UsAir or United to gain the least expensive fare. Her preference is CO due to the hubs and frequency of non-stop flights. But the occasional booking on these 2 airlines creates the situation where she's can't earn on any ONE airline. So since I have a choice between USAir & United to earn miles on each others flights, i'm asking which program is better.
i.e. most ability to earn non-flight bonus such as credit card deals, etc, etc, etc.
thanks again.

Based on that info it is six or one-half a dozen. She can fly either airline and have the points credited to one account. There will be no huge difference in the two airlines programs once US joins the Star Alliance later this year. And again - she can fly both and have all the miles credited to one account so whichever airline is offering the bigger account bonus for sign up migh be the way to go. IF, however, she uses an AMEX card, she will want to choose UA because US doesn't participart with them.
