What's in YOUR carry-on?
I have seen some "What's in your wallet", Whats in your briefcase" threads and want to try a new one. Not sure if this belongs in the TravelBuzz forum, but if it does mods can feel free to move it.
So, whats in your carry-on bag

When I travel, i like everything on my carryon, so here's the deal:
* Toiletries (shaving gel (small tube), toothpaste and brush, deodorant, comb, aftershave, contact lenses and solution! - shampoo and all that i can get from the hotel)
* Digital camera (nice small size Minolta Dimage X for snapping the airline food and hotel room and any other snaps!, plus charger), PCMCIA card to transfer SD digital camera stuff to computer.
* Laptop computer, including power supply and extendable plug to plug phone cable (usually in a carry over my shoudler bag, with the wheel on)
* Some reading material (typically a lonely planet of the destination i'm going to, the latest Inside Flyer!
, time (i always find this a good read), newspaper if I can grab one at the lounge before I go (or altneriatvely secure one on the plane) and some cookies from the lounge [i'm usually full from eating some food at the lounge before hand, but i avoid eating too much and drinking any alcohol when i fly], usually at least a 500ml bottle of water sometimes I grab from the lounge b4 i head off or buy as sometimes I find lacklustre service a problem and get dehydrated.
* All my essentials, passport, ticket, boarding pass(s), frequent flyer card(s), upgrade coupons just in case, credit cards, currency if I have some left over, if not I typically change at an ATM at the destination or if in most Asian country I change some at the airport at arrival, some airports I need to make a dash so i'm not waiting in a currency changing queue, etc.
* Clothes (typically a pair of shorts, changes of underwear!, tshirts, etc, i try to keep this as minimal as possible. A few socks (and of course the clothes i'm wearing)
* Now my sleeping stuff for long flights - facial scrub, moisturiser, lip balm, [typically the moisturiser and lip balm are from C class amenity kits i've collected over time, at are small and handy], sleeping tablets (normison/temazepan), ear plugs, eye mask, (and if I fly C, i usually ask for a hot chocolate as my ritual b4 i hit the sack). I usually double up on the socks i'm wearing as i find the plane can get quite cold.
* Mobile phone and charger. I use a tri-band Motorola V66+, which is handy as although based in Australia, can be used on the US networks which is very handy.
* My luggage status tag (dependent on what airline i'm flying).
Typically this all weighs about 8KG enough to usually get it as carryon, plus my laptop over the arm bag. I usually always buy a shaver at the destination just to skip any potential hassles.

Stuff I would rather not do without for a couple of days, in case I get bumped or they lose my luggage:
Medications
Toiletries
Rain gear
Extra underware and shirts for two days
Extra pair of glasses
Itinerary and other paperwork (directions, accommodation reservations, etc)
One roll of toilet paper
Hat
Mosquito repellant
Sun screen

This topic is not tied into the agenda of the "Miles"Buzz board, so I am moving it to "Travel"Buzz.
