FFP for Aerolineas Argentinas flights?
Looks like I'm booked on some domestic flights on AR.
So far as I can tell, I cannot credit them to an FFP other than AR's own
. There was a thread in 'Other American programs' which came to this conclusion.
I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping somebody has the answer. Flying without earning miles? Perish the thought! Please help.

I just went to the page, and looked at the partners
Banco Galicia (Bank)
AVIS
Hertz
Hilton HHonors
Spanair (Airline)
Badino (Travel Agency)
Marsans (Travel Agency)
Optar (Travel Agency)
Sorry, it looks like there is not an American partner.

I tried to call UA MIleage Plus three times, each for over 15 minutes, to check whether we could redeem MP miles for LAPA flights, but they were too busy helping other passengers ... and the calls are not free over here. Thanks a lot, UA
In the end, we are booked on AR revenue tickets.

Thanks, clacko. Yes, we're staying on the Brazilian side.
I get by with un poco mas vino por favorfrom time to time.
Actually, I find Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese for that matter, far easier to understand than the European varieties and I'm keen to develop my skills, such as they are.

Although there is no US partner, Spanair miles might be helpful since they are about to join *A some time in the next few months (I am not sure when). Depending on how many miles you earn in Argentina, you might be able to use a Spanair number on only a few UA flights later this year (if UA survives) until the Spanair account has enough in it for an award. This is obviously not ideal and has many possibilities for going wrong, but might be better than nothing.

Hilton is a new partner and doesn't recognize Aerolineas Argentinas on its website.
At any rate, it is not one of the airlines listed for reward exchange (but would be worth checking back to see if they will be included once Hilton puts Aerolineas Argentina on its website)
