Help! Glossary needed!

I'm new to FT, but flying a long time (US Gold, HH Platinum, etc.) I enjoy the forum, but I'm easily confused. I recognize the airport codes, but what the heck is MRTC? There are other acro's that show up - most I can figure out (I worked for CO some time back) but as often as not I'm in the dark and the context doesn't always provide a clue.

Am I that clueless, or are some of the posters just "showing off" their grasp of airline arcana? :eek

BTW, I always joked at the office where people love to type and talk in such short hand that it takes longer to explain it all than it would to just say the full word, IMHO.
