Yes, I got the 2500 miles for being a second cardholder and using it. Yes, they needed my OnePass account number when signing up for it.

Frenchie Flyer Also, just to confirm, the 17,500 miles went into the primary cardholder's OnePass account, with the 2,500 miles going into your separate OnePass account? Cheers! |
Yes, I was also on the checking account when I used the second debit card and got the 2500 miles and yes the primary got the 17,500 miles.
Best of luck Frenchie Flyer |

Four observations Darien.
A. On the coupon, the Banker Instructions clearly state #4 that an E-coupon receipt should be provided to you. Just wondering why you weren't provided this by the banker who opened your account. He should have given you one receipt for each account. B. My banker noticed that I had done the same thing as you i.e. printed out 3 of the same coupon. So while we were in his office I asked him to go on www.flyertalk.com and get the link and print out two new ones with different numbers. I'm wondering if your banker didn't catch it or wasn't paying attention. D. Finally, I am not sure why your Banker did not give you back the coupon if he had already entered it. He should have given you at least a copy. Did you receive anything at all from him to show that these were Continental accounts? I'm not sure why you waited so long though to go back to them - I would have been chomping at the bit after 2 months if I hadn't got the miles. |

I asked for this receipt, but the banker said that he didn't know what it was, didn't know how to print it, and assured me that as long as the coupon code was entered into the system everything will be fine.
Sounds like your banker was a lot more knowledgeable than mine, who said "I don't know much about these crazy promotions" and "I have the girls in Customer Service to deal with this kind of stuff." He claimed that he had to collect all "original coupons" from customers so they couldn't be re-used. He later told us that he shredded them at the end of each day. So no, we didn't get anything at all pertaining to the miles offer from him. |
The saga continues.... My reserach request came back, and I was denied the miles because "Customer just activated the card on 1/22/2008 - he has not made any qualifying purchases during the promotion period." The problem is, they only looked at my replacement card, which I requested after my original debit card was lost in early January. I had plenty of qualifying activity on my original card. Oh, the incompetence!

Best of luck Frenchie Flyer But when I asked to add additional members to the banking card, the CS told me the additional members had to be in the office "in person" to show him their "proper IDs" and OnePass #, so I gave up. Because I was planning to use my children's names, my children are in college, far from home, and I would not have a nerve to ask any friend to spend their precious time to drop by bank for "2500 miles". Just curious, did you show up "in person" and was asked to show your proper "ID" ? |
[QUOTE=fathickory;9219644]Before I went, I thought all I had to provide Chase were addtional members' OnePass account # and may be their SS#.
Chase required any signatories to be there and show ID. Frenchie Flyer |
