Wow i wish I waited until Friday, I opened my account on Wednesday. Anyway did you have to have 3 people with you to serve as the co-signer for the other debit cards?

My husband and I both applied for the 17,500 CO checking promo today.
It was painless! 1. Take in the printed form from either Continental or FT (make sure to print off two different offers if you are opening two accounts) 2. $100 (cash or check from another source other than CHASE) deposit required to open account. 3. One Pass#'s. (we opened 2 accounts) We also signed up for three debit cards (the limit) giving us an extra 2,500 per card, which is a great bonus as well. 4. Our branch had a "Black Friday $100 promotion" in addition to the CO offer for opening a checking account. We left there feeling good~ Wouldn't hurt to ask your local branch for the $100 offer if you act quickly. Good Luck! |

Does anyone know if this offer is good only at free-standing Chase bank branches? There are JP Morgan Chase branches here in Boston but I don't think they're quite the same thing..

Age restrictions?
I am going to do this tomorrow for myself and would like to do it for my son also. He's 17. Can we open up a checking account in his name only or do you think since he is under 18 I will need to be on the account also?
Has anybody tried to do this for their under age kids? Cheers |

i'd love to have this verified.
However, I remember a few years back with a different bank who had a similar offer to open a new account. I did a similar ACH transfer hoping it would count as a payroll direct deposit to activate my bonus offer. No bonus so I called and the bank told me the offer required a payroll direct deposit so I think there *is* a way banks can distinguish between different types of ACH transfers. As far as Chase - from my experience and those of others who have posted in this thread - it doesn't appear they care what type of ACH deposit it is to qualify. |
Jane361: My husband and I both enrolled. I received my 10,000 CO miles in exactly a week. His have not been posted yet--10 days out. Neither of us have received the additional miles for purchasing a bank card yet. I only have the 10,000 miles posted so far too. Looks like according to the offer's fine print, the 7,500 bonus debit card miles post 8-10 weeks after the first purchase posts... |

We are doing other banking with CHASE in addition to these offers, so we will have to wait and see how things come out. I'll keep you posted. |
I need to open another account in chase for another reason,(i know it says limit one per customer in the t&c) has anyone had any luck with opening 2 and getting the promo? ;)

The Personal Banker opened our two checking accounts and ordered a debit card for the account holder, one for the spouse under the other's acct# and then ordered the third card in the original account holders name (in essence each acct holder has two debit cards under their name, which they can give to a child to use, etc.)
I quote from the offer "You can also add up to three additional cards for others on your joint checking account and pay no additional annual fees. Plus each new cardholder will receive 2,500 bonus OnePass miles." Kindly clarify. Thanks |
Opened my Chase account on 9/30 using this offer. Only got 2,500 miles so far (posted as "11/27/2007 Chase Debit Card Enrollment Bonus Miles 2,500 "). If I don't get the rest of the miles within the next month or so, who should I complain to? Thanks.

I would start with the personal banker who opened your account if you don't get the miles. S/He is the best point of contact since S/he is responsible for the account. We opened our accounts a week ago and no miles yet so if by the end of the year we don't see anything I'll call mine.

Or have the personal banker talk to the manager on your behalf... |

I'm sorry I'm quite confused about this - Is it not correct that the person who OPENS the extra debit card does not get any points but rather, the person who RECEIVES the extra card will get the 2,500 bonus miles?

We are contacting our Personal Banker at our branch this week to find out about the 7500 points.
Everyone please post your success when you succeed getting the additional 7500 points. |
