Catman sure picked the wrong time to go? Just got a note that the London Underground is going on some kind of slowdown from Feb 14-16 (from Air Canada employee hotline). Maybe Merry could fill us in on what this is and how it might affect our frequent flyers?

I see Rudi also has this posted on another thread -- sorry.

I shouldn't worry about the tube strike too much. It is only one union (the RMT) going on strike, their impact will be very limited.

HOWEVER, there is a more serious problem for people travelling across central London. For the next 6 weeks The Mall will be completely closed for resurfacing (we can't have Her Majesty's drive being uneven can we), this should cause the worst congestion in London for years.

Those taxi journeys could prove long and expensive for the next 6 weeks.

Merry doesn't take the tube...

In my experience, tube strikes are annoying for commuters, but if you have the time, taking the bus is a more pleasant option anyway - you get to see the sights and breathe the smog instead of being in the dark underground stuffiness...

CMDR CATCOP HOWLING...

1. This underground strike is a great forum that should be under a separate area, not under CATMAN's mindless dribble.

2. I have no idea how Latin came to play with Catman says he was going away (I made a rhyme!!!)

3. Please don't take offense with my howling but some of these forums have gone off the wall!! ME-OW!! CMDR> CATCOP.
