Need 617 WorldPerks Miles..Quick!!

Anybody...please help!

I have reached 36,383 miles IN MY OWN ACCOUNT on Northwest after combining two duplicate accounts and need to book two domestic tickets by May 31 at their 18,500 per ticket on-line booking rate. So I am short by 617 miles.

Besides buying miles from Northwest at $ 95 for 2500 miles, is there any other way to earn these miles QUICK?

My wife, who will be traveling with me has 2600 miles in her own account. Is there any way to combine her miles with mine?

Welcome!

Points.com can transfer miles/points between programs for your own accounts, I don't know how quick but when you buy them, it posts in 1-2 days.

I hope that helps,

CF

I second this suggestion. You won't even need the 2000 bonus miles you get for joining nwa.com. You already have enough in your account for 2 tickets at 17,500 each, which is what they will be after the 2500 point discount. You might have to wait 24 hours for the activation of your nwa.com membership to take place but I'd say this is your best bet.

What's the itinerary of the award ticket? Is it available to be booked online? I'm just wondering, because I won't sign up for nwa.com club for the reason that I can't book an award ticket online. If I'm going to spend the miles to get an award ticket, I think leaving from my closest airport(EUG) would be the best value for my miles. Which isn't possible due to the fact that NW does not fly into EUG, only using AS as a codeshare. And any award tickets with AS as part of the itinerary cannot be booked online. My closest city(PDX) that will work for nwa.com award booking is over 3 hours away. If you were to look for availability for HNL (which I know you aren't), SEA is the closest city that would be available online, due to the PDX-SEA segment which is a Horizon codeshare. Perhaps this is non pertaining info, but I thought it would be a bummer if it turned out you couldn't even use the 2500 miles discount. My geography knowledge of Georgia is zilch.

Before you sign up with nwa.com club, be sure you can use the certificates and other goodies. Good Luck!

This really should be in the NWA forum. Please continue to follow it there.
