(I hate how the AA mall is organized, you can never be sure if you find merchants you are looking for)
FYI, the link to wine.com on AA mall is: http://www.aadvantageeshopping.com/details.jsp?mrc=21

Look at the full list for future purchases
Any way to find out what states restrict buying wine online?
Nevermind, found it:

I use Shop4Miles.com and it is 1 mile/dollar spent. They have wine.com and others. Plus overstock.com has some deals that I find with my wine searches with Shop4Miles.
I generally keep my searches basic, such as merlot, sirah, etc. That way I can see everything.

but all the others have gone through the permit process to be legal.I'm not saying each and every state allows wine in under some conditions, but just because it's red or yellow or whatever on one map doesn't mean it's like that on them all.

Really there are too many to list. Just do a search on RewardsDB for wine (http://rewardsdb.com/search.php?q=wine) and you can see the range of companies. For Wine.com there are many, many offers - see: http://rewardsdb.com/product/Wine.html

Nothing wrong with wine.com for the occasional purchase or gift, etc -- but FYI to anyone looking to purchase wine on a more regular basis, or make larger purchases, it's definitely not worth it for the miles. Their prices and shipping are so much higher than other wine outlets that offer online shopping that you'd be better off saving the money, it could work out to 10 cents a mile or more. For example if you're about to make an order cross-reference with a place like www.winex.com and see how much those miles are costing you first.
