Miles for wine?

Any merchants, online or off, giving miles for wine purchases?

Thank you.

PS. Please bring OMNI back to this side of the board.

Sam's Wine (800-777-9137 or samswine.com) in Chicago gives their preferred cutomer members 1 mile for every $2 spent in the AAdvantage program.

Edited out completely because doctor types faster than I do.

You can earn miles online at evineyard.com (also known as wine.com):

1) milesmall.com offers 1 AS mile (alternatively can get Aloha or America West miles)

2) goldpoints.com offers 30p (7.5 miles) / $

The only reasons to choose milesmall is that goldpoints doesn't have AS as a partner.

Additionally, you can earn 2 AS m/$3 buying wine related items (but not wine) at wineenthusiast.com via milesmall.com

And this thread should be in the S.P.A.M. forum...

Is this still available? I don't see Sam's Wine listed in the AA online mall, and can't seem to find any referenes to AA on the samswine.com site.

In Reno, NV, there's Viaggio Italian Cuisine & Wine Shop -- it's a member of the Rewards Dining program and you can earn miles for either eating at the restaurant or wine purchases in the retail shop.

In Virginia, Virginia Wine Tours are also part of Rewards Dining -- they "organize meetings and events of all sizes and for various occasions at various wineries within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Whether it's 2, 10, 25, 50, or 100 or more people, Virginia Wine Tours accommodates almost any need with its diverse selection of vehicles, enticing tour plans, and full service event planning."

I'm sure you as the OP are aware, that while all the helpful links on this thread are appreciated by all of us FT wine drinkers, your own state's regulations may prohibit you from buying wine from an online site and having it shipped to "prohibited" states.

My state is amongst those that prohibit having wine shipped from any online website, but yet it's kosher for me to travel to another state or country, and buy the wine in person, and personally transport it on my person back to my state.

Gotta love booze laws in certain states that make Prohibition seem not so distant in the past....

Woo hoo! I regularly buy from wine.com and had no idea! Thanks! (I hate how the AA mall is organized, you can never be sure if you find merchants you are looking for)

FYI, the link to wine.com on AA mall is: http://www.aadvantageeshopping.com/details.jsp?mrc=21
