I'm sure this is posted elsewhere already, but if you want to stay at Caesar's, call 866.269.7252 and ask for the Indulgence Package. This is their latest email offer of $89 weekends and $69 weeknights and includes a $25 food credit. Offer good through 31 March 2002.

www.travelworm.com is the site I use to compare prices when looking at cheapovegas.com. They do other cities as well.
Be aware that some "deals" put you in the older, less desirable wings of the hotels. Cheapovegas is helpful with this, as is the flyertalk vegas area.
I'm partial to the hilton, as I can often get in for $50 or less, and with my gold status get a room upgrade and the breakfast buffet for free.

The Flamingo, across the strip from Caesars, is pretty cheap as is Bally's, also across the strip. Bally's has nicer rooms. All of these hotels are owned by Park Place. They have a new deal where you can get a players card that includes them all (Park Place Connection).

I have several suggestions on Las Vegas on my site below. I have spent too much time there, counting cards and playing poker.
Click on Las Vegas, Nevada, in the left menu.

Also sign up for Travelzoo's Top Deals of the week. I had found some great deals mostly thru the LA Times site but a few days before my trip, I got Travelzoo's email and there was a deal for the Flamingo. Cost us $142, including tax, for 3 nights(Fri, Sat & Sun). Got upgraded since I'm Hilton Gold.

they hand out lots of really helpful magazines on the corners at night (NOT)...
you'll think I'm crazy, but watch... they all tap the magazines three times against their arms before they try to hand them to you...
if you've been there you understand... if this is your first time you won't get it until you're there, but then you'll still wonder why they do it...

My husband and I are going the same week-end, but leaving Friday for three nights. Most places (looking at Expedia) treat Sunday like a week-night, i.e. a cheaper rate. Has anyone stayed at the Alladin. Looks nice at expedia. We are getting "comped" except for the expected $100 tip.

If you're getting comped at Aladdin, ask for a Strip Suite... best view of the Bellagio fountains in town. It's an OK property with nice employees. Elements steakhouse is excellent, as is the buffet.
Have fun!
