how to convert JAL miles?
My wife and I each have 12,500 miles on JAL from an LAX-DPS-DFW vacation last year. When we booked the flights, I did not realize I could have given my AA number and had the miles post there. Instead, I signed both my wife and I up for JMB accounts.
Anyone have a strategy for how I can either 1) transfer these miles to another airline FF account (AA, DL, BA, CO...), or 2) get another 2,500 miles in each of our JMB accounts so at least we can use a 15,000 mile hotel award? We don't plan to fly JAL again anytime soon.
Any good ideas are appreciated.

Your best bet is to go for the 15,000 mile award by earning another 2500 points. I would recommend that the next flight you and your wife take on American or TWA that is 2500+ miles, you credit to JAL instead of AAdvantage.
Another option is the Amex Starwood credit card which can earn points transferable to JAL, so you could charge your way to 15,000 miles, but the exchange ratio of 2:1 is not good.
