Expiring vouchers

I know this topic has been addressed many times, but here goes.
I have a $200 voucher from USAirways that is set to expire in January. As I have no personal travel plans before that time, can I book a fully-refundable ticket now (with no intention of using it), and when my plans "change" later in the year, use that ticket for my "real" ticket?
Or will they catch on and invalidate the $200 from the voucher?

You might get a better response if you post this over on the U.S. Airways section.

Most of these dollar off vouchers have the stipulation that you forfeit the value if you trade in a ticket later. So, if you paid $400 for a ticket, and used a $200 voucher, your value of the ticket when you trade it in would only be $200.

I don't know how US air works but your plan would work for AA. I don't know if US Air vouchers waive some of the tax as does AA, and you might not get that back 9 new voucher might not let you waive tax). A voucher is generally treated differently than a dollars off certificate. I think you could ask this question directly to US Air. Let us know what they say.
