Involutary (?) bumping
This is relevant to a particular airline (ANZ), but the principle is general....
I have been booked on a J-class award SYD-LAX next February, booked pre Sept. 11. My flight (on a Tuesday) has been cancelled, and I have been rebooked on to the Wednesday flight.
While an extra day in Sydney is no major hardship, I will incur extra expenses, and need to rebook my LAX-LGW flights.
Should I be seeking some recompense here from ANZ, or is it just one of the things we should expect in the current situation, and accept it with good grace.
Your advice please?
