BoSoxFan - I didn't call you any names. I am suprised at your response. I charecterized some of your statments as juvenile. I also didn't tell you to shut up. I said to take to your off topic comments to another thread. Please don't mischaracterize what I say. Also suprising stereotyping/assumption from one who is so passionate about it's evils. You assume I went to a certain college because I live in that state? You must be clairvoyant to know so much about me based on my state of residence ( "vols" part of email address is from my spouse- now guess where I am from). Good luck in life's pursuits and may your God be with you.

BNAboy-
I presumed from the "Vols" in the e-mail address. Guess I was wrong. Sorry. I have many good friends who went to UT, many of whom are very intelligent. Many people I went to Vanderbilt with are not. It was supposed to be a good-natured dig, nothing more. And I did think you commented that I "lacked any respect". I respectfully disagree. The lack of respect was towards UALLover7 based upon his age.
I didn't bring this debate here. Paradocs and a few others made remarks I found incredibly ignorant and offensive. And I responded. I repeat- I won't stand silent for gross negative stereotypes of people based on age, gender, sexual orientation, race, etc.
I agree with you that this discussion shouldn't be on this board. But UALLover was attacked based upon his youth. Those attacks brought this discussion to the place it is. Same thing would have happened if he had been attacked because of his race, sexual orientation, creed, class, or gender. I wish it hadn't come to this. But such disparaging remarks are not o.k. They may be PC to some, but to me, it's just not right.
Be well, and no personal harm meant.

can you go have your little spat on email? or meet up someplace and have a good old-fashioned fistfight? i have lost track of which one of you is the insolent unwise teenager, and which is the old, dumb, earning-less-than-a-CEO-teenager, but youre both pretty tiring. my money is on the teenage to beat the old-fart in three rounds.

[B]That aside, and back to the thread topic, QL makes an excellent point, but it is not entirely correct. Those on UAL 93 acted against the terrorists and still lost their lives. Passenger vigilance or not, what happened on 9/11 to Flight 93 still could happen.
