Bonus Miles (Clever Best Offers)

Hello All,

I am currently doing a study/writing an article on the most clever bonus offers - I would sincerely appreciate any info / examples you all have seen. Any & All examples would be great. Specifically any with an 'opt-in' requirement " register online and get bonus"

Thanks A LOT!

"Most clever" in which way? The ones that come to my mind are the "not so clever" ones.

bad examples or ones that are "not so clever" also are great, the ones where "we know what you are up to". Thanks... basically the ones where you know they are gathing info / permission for some reason are my target.

Thanks for your response - I apprecite it.

The Latin Pass deal was creative. I'm having trouble finding threads on it with FT's search engine, but here's a news story that explains it. It focuses on Pudding Guy, who not only did that promo but scored big on the AA/Healthy Choice promo by buying really cheap pudding cups.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but NW and AA both had some good shopping promos - it was like buy from so many of their partners and get a bunch of bonus miles. It was a fun quest to find the cheapest items one could buy from each partner to qualify. You should be able to find those threads by searching in the specific airline forums.

Good luck!

Some folks earned an awful lot of miles with this promo. It's a long thread.

I know of at least one individual who parlayed this promo into more than half a million DL miles.

I suspect most contests are a clever scam for free advertising. The sponsor sends a grossly overvalued 1099 to the recipient and deducst that amount from its income. But then it pays considerably less to actually provide the prize. In fact, since the advertising of the prize often mentions the name of a hotel, resort, airline, etc., that is not the provider of the prize, that entity may be offering the prize for free to the provider of the prize.

The new site described in the post right underneath yours by boazs has all current and recently expired offers on airlines, FF programs and even routes:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=491049

The best selection of FF offers I have seen on the web so far! Includes very good as well as very bad offers. Make your pick.
