Swissair/AA mileage question
I certainly hope this is the appropriate forum for this question -- hate to be regulated by a Moderator! Anyway, I was curious if anyone knew about Swissair fares and whether they offer discounted fares that do not accrue mileage (with AAdvantage). On the aa.com website, they indicate that "discounted economy class" on Swissair does not accrue mileage. As of yet, I don't know the fare class for my Swissair flight (booked it over the phone and forgot to ask) but it was extremely cheap for the route (considering that I bought it outside the country of departure) and even cheaper than what the website listed! I suspect this must be some sort of consolidator fare - anyone have experience dealing with Swissair/AA mileage accrual? Thanks.

... and V.
I think this means to all intents and purposes that all SR tickets you are likely to buy will accrue AA credit.
This is not the case with all partner airlines - credit for BA economy is poor (0% to/from the Americas, also 0% for most economy for UK members) and IB is also bad (30% for most economy). Check aa.com for details.
Only problem is SR mileage does not qualify for AA status as SR is not (yet?) a OneWorld member.
