Is there a synopsis or thread on 'miles for shopping' programs/options?

I haven't really signed up for any of the 'miles for shopping' programs, so I am fairly clueless about them
My hubby is gifting me with a nice new camera for my birthday and is letting me pick which one and where to buy it.
So, I thought I should see about getting the most miles for my birthday gift ^
I usually try to get double miles from AMEX on DL but that isn't a promo right now. So what are my best options? I have to look at miles earned vs best price available too.
FWIW, my main accounts are AA and then DL. I did just get a AMEX Starwood card, to supplement my Citibank AAdvantage MC.
Thanks

I would advocate finding the lowest price first, then once you found a retailer, find the best bonus offer you can get. Which credit card you use in general does not matter.

Gary Steiger has a page of good general information on his site:

Choose "Buying Stuff" from the menu on the left.

A little dated (December 2003) but this InsideFlyer article of what's out there and the value propositions involved.
AndrewCram's site mentioned above is an invaluable resource for finding the best mileage deal with each merchant.
