How is Award Planner?
I've seen threads in here about how Award Planner works but has anyone actually used it and has it worked for them? I'm thinking of going to MSY with a stopover in LAS in December but there is nothing available. If I can't seem to get it, how do they manage to squeeze out an award tkt?

I used them to try and get 2 C class or F class saver award tickets to Australia. They never found anything and I actually was able to get the tickets myself with perseverence. I feel I wasted my money as I got nothing from them. Others feel it is well worth it though so YMMV.

As usual, instead of relying on 2002/03 info it's nice to occasionally find current opinions like those in 2005. Sometimes an old question needs new answers. Information is good.

Yes, I do think there is a difference relying upon information that is a few years old as opposed to a few months old. But to each his/her own, eh?

While many good things have been written about how creative and dedicated they are, I sent in my money about a trip to Hawaii last year and got back a "sorry, nothing available on US or UA" the next day and nothing else. When I asked about the DL, CO, NW, and AA flights, which I had also provided when I signed up, it took another day for "nothing there either" and that was then end of my $$$.
It might be good for the average traveller, but we as a group are statistical outliers when it comes to airline travel knowledge and they don't have any "special access".

FWIW I find it better to bump a previous thread if you found through search as it then makes it easier down the road for people search and only finding one thread as opposed to reading 4 or 5 threads on the exact same thing.
