Get 1000 Miles/Points Each Month

You can use Yahoo PayDirect to send someone up to $1000 when your address is verified. No fees, and can use any credit card. The transaction comes up as purchase. If you have affinity cards you can get miles or points this way every 30 days. Don't know if Yahoo can afford to keep doing this for free?!

Obviously, the point is...that you're looking for someone to whom you need to send $1000 per month. Sure, I'll help you out.

Ok, being serious, this is a decent value and could be a minimal mileage builder. Sometimes this is allowed when a service is being promoted and then they tighten the loopholes.

From the website: "In the future, transaction fees may apply, but you will be notified before they are put into effect."

Do they except Amex?

Apologies, JeffLewis2 and FlyingHammy!

My comments were directed, in humor, at the premature double-posts by lazerguy6.

I should have been more specific and included a smiley-face. Hope I didn't offend ANYone.

Yes! When I got my Blue card with 0% for 6 months, I took out $8,000 using PayDirect, ExchangePath(died!) and Paypal (when they took AMEX, not anymore) over two-three months, and put the money in the INGDIRECT savings account for 6%! I also got $25 of JCREW gift card for BLUELOOT points (bad conversion rate, but hey, it's free!)

hnechets, I didn't get the double quote/posts either...

But couldn't you just send the money to, say, a spouse, and then have the spouse send the money back to you each month?

The way I read the fine print, this could be worth 2K miles/month for a family. Given the enormous interest in NWA's 10K Fly Free Faster, I'd think that 24K/year/family would attract a lot of attention, too.

Thanks for the tip !! I enrolled with Paydirect today.. This is so great...Too bad you can't transfer from credit card to bank account !!
Family flier, tell me if I'm wrong.. You transfer money through CC- Paydirect to your wife, then sends it back to you.. But that way you'll only receive 1,000 points/miles. Unless, you do the same as above but also have your wife set up her own account, fund it, then transfer $1,000 to you.. That way, each one funds their account and sends the original amount back, thus accumulate 2,000 miles/poins per family.
However, if you look at Paydirect you'll notice this..
Improper use of PayDirect may result in cancellation or reversal of transactions and/or termination of your PayDirect account.

IMO, improper use will be if two people, living in the same address, transfered money to each other and exceeded the 1,000 limit. But I could be wrong !! Let me know if you can do this.. adios

I don't think improper uses automatically means 'people living at the same address' exchanging money.

If it's the same amount every month and then the other person sends it back to them... maybe.

But PayPal promoted uses for its service as a way to 'pay roommates' for rent, utility bills, etc...

I don't understand. How does the person you are sending the money to get the money. Do you send it to their bank account?

Yeah, those 2 posts it made it so clear..

fly4free,

No, you cannot send money directly to another person's bank account. Well, it actually works exactly like PayPal, except Paydirect takes Amex. Very good of them After funding your Paydirect account by ach transfer and CC, you can then send money to another Paydirect account holder. Adios

Paydiredt is going to close soon. I haven't had a chance to use it. Could someone confirm that it will be consider as purchase when we send money using AMEX Card? I realized all the posts are from a long time ago.

Thanks.
