Ah, so even with unrestricted full Y reservations, the fare is not locked in until you purchase the tickets. Just like with the cheaper tickets.

Ah well.

Travel agent called:

"We have all the flights reserved in the system for you Eastwest. The dates and flights you want all work fine."

(I chose to go from Seoul to Atlanta via "The Pacific Island Hop" and then to return ATL-IAH-NRT-SEL.)

"We faxed the reservation to Continental to confirm that such a low price was valid. We should hear from them tomorrow in the morning. . . "

Keeping fingers crossed,

Am I to understand I could only travel from Korea to US and back??

Would it be possible somehow to start in US to Korea and return to US for the same ultralow fare??

I understand the fare must be paid in Korea, but I'm in the US and would like to return to US on the 2nd leg of the RT.

Help!

That is a fantastic point. I will plan on taking advantage of it. Pat, if I upgrade using miles, will I be eligible for COS bonus miles or just the original Y miles?

Coolbreeze,
You must start and end in Korea to use this fare. While this is a particularly good fare, it is not uncommon to find Asia-USA-Asia flights for significantly cheaper than USA-Asia-USA flights. . .

Hi all,

Had to do a bit of searching, but this is the flights.com agent in Seoul. They have a website, but the Continental fare does not show up . This should take you to the english version of the website.

The price makes it very tempting....

What you think, is possible to make stopovers during trip despite higher intermediate points??? I mean, just stop over and make no-show. And then continue few days later.

Would it be possible to purchase 2 roundtrips?

I could use leg #2 of R/T #1 to get from USA to Korea. Then leg #1 of R/T #2 to get from Korea to USA.

At that fare, I could get 2 R/T still at a very low fare??

Would this be possible??????

You won't be able to use coupon 2 of outbound without having redeemed coupon 1.

The travel agent I am dealing with just called and said that the routing I want:
SEL to ATL via the "Pacific Hop" on CO Mike that fokker suggests
returning to SEL via IAH and NRT only is over $2000.

I asked him why that was and he said he would "make a few calls" and call me back. Maybe I need to go find another travel agent?

SIN-JFK-SIN, SIN-LAX-SIN and SIN-SFO-SIN are all currently $239 on United! If you originate in the US, you get the ususal fares.

Argh! The $232 fare is GONE.

What bad timing...I had finally gotten hold of a Seoul, Korea travel agency through email. They had my itinerary set up and I was about to send them my credit card number and they were going to Fedex the tickets to me.

Too late now. Ah well.
