What programs post miles/points the fastest/slowest?

I almost always rent Hertz, I have found that my miles always seem to post quite quickly to my NW, AS and this time I'm crediting to my AA account for the 20 partner promo.... we'll see what happens!

The rental cars companies--virtually all of them--are horrible at posting miles.
I have booked a National Car Rental special twice through AOL-AA.com that offered 4x miles--what a deal! If only it ever posted.
