Hi Everyone,
I´ve met a couple of you through my fiancee Mizu, and although he´s emailed a couple of very helpful links regarding cat transport(including catman´s treatise), I could really use some support on this from the Community. Boo and Baby Girl will learn how to sprechen Maöw sometime in October and any helpful advice will be much appreciated. The Familay usually travels United/Lufthansa(but not on Thursdays). Thanks alot. Jozen.

Hey, look who's here! Welcome, jozen.
I can't help out with the cat question but I did want to say hi. I'm sure there are plenty of cat people here who know all the details.

I met Mizu at the FT SF emet and enjoyed talking to him and sampling some delicious Swiss chocolates...
RE moving with a cat - you may kmow most of this but - most airlines that allow cats in the cabin only allow one per cabin so you would not be able to have both with you. Many airlines also will refuse travel to pets in the cargo hold at various tiems of eyar - eg not too cold or too hot. Everyone I've talked to (And I've had cats for many years) have reiterated that if you are moving any distance, it's worth it to contract with a pet shipping company who knows how to do it and guarantees your pets safety. It is more expensive than flying w/ your cats as luggage but I have found it's safer and more professionally handled. It might be cheaper to book a friend who can come over with pone of the cats in a cabin.
Vets are mxed about giving cats sedatives - some insist it's the best thing and some think it endangers the cat unnecessarily. Mine have done well without but if I ever had ot move my older cat now I would probably have the vet recommend something.
If you have more specific quesiotns I'm sure someone here will know.
