New Luggage Tags......
The day is very close when you will all have a chance to enjoy the new luggage (and other) identifying tags (we call TalkTags). We've completly re-thought the idea behind having luggage tags and will be introducing them as gifts at both the upcoming pre-Freddie party and again at the Freddies the following day. All people attending will be given free tags and then we will be contacting anyone who had purchsed the old tags so we can give you free replacements. I love what we have done and think (and hope) that all of you will agree that it's much better than the first edition of luggage tags. You will soon be able to purchase new tags online, though the final price has not been decided yet. It will be a real deal and you will really know who the FlyerTalkers are when traveling and when hanging out in the baggage area in any favorite airport.
One more thing.....each 'TalkTag' comes complete with "Elite Member" printed on it.......hint, hint......

Oh don't worry, i have a deal with some of my employees - I won't be the tech guy who has to deliver a new board real soon and they (the tech guys) won't be the luggage tag guys who have to deliver a better luggage tag. See, we sometimes can do two things at once.....
Now, if you were lucky enough to have been on live chat last night, you would have learned the secret URL for the beta board (not yet ready for release) like cigarman, bizjet, annas, camera guy and others learned last night. They all clicked over to look but as i warned them....it's pretty ugly right now. They also learned the names of the 5 winners of the United chat the other night, though it was an unofficial release of information from me. All is coming....all is bright.

Great to hear there are new FT luggage tags. I could send in the broken ones, but one is in 2 pieces under a carousel in Sao Paulo, another Pnomh Penh, another in Harare, and some others in ...
Look forward to seeing them!

Sounds great with the tags - but I had another thought.
Tags are good but they are limited - after all we don't spend our days going through the airports looking at everybody's tags.
What about a FT cap? I.e. something hat-like to wear on top of the head? (duh!).
Then when a FlyerTalker - having boarded first - sitting in J he simply puts on the cap while everybody else is boarding. In this way any other FlyerTalker on the plane will be sure to see "the crazy person in business with a strange thing on his head".
Just a thought.

This does sound neat. Darn, wish I was goin to the Freddies now!
As to identifying people... I just picked up my package from FT with shirt and pins, so they will be in evidence on my next trip.
And I reckon just about any UA 1K running around with a blue/white 1K tag would be a sure bet to be a Flyertalker - otherwise how would anyone know you could get them?! (the main reason I have one on my carry on!)

Randy, How do you want to go about people who originally ordered tags, but have moved since? Would you like for us to email you privately to update the current address of record?
Please let us know. Thank you.
