Dumb Question re AirMiles.
This a really dumb question, but I can't seem to get a clear answer from searching FT, owing to the similarity / interchangeability of the terms;
I've just noticed (duh) that my Royal Bank of Scotland credit card generates AirMiles (as in "The AirMiles Company"); I am joining BAEC and getting the BA Amex PP. Can my AirMiles collected so far be used in any way with the BAmiles that I plan to start collecting?
No flaming please!

The short answer is no. When BA took its own frequent flyer scheme away from the Air Miles structure, there was a short opportunity to convert Air Miles into the new BA Miles, but you can't do it any more.
For various reasons, I've finally given up the credit card that earns Air Miles in favour of BA Miles-earning cards. A bit of a culture shock, but Air Miles have just become ever more useless over the years.
There'll be lots more views about this if you ask it in the BA forum - although I suspect that they will all be to the same effect.

Not that I'm dissing them - they're a very good currency for part of the loyalty market. It's just not the part of the market that we're in.

One poster on the BA board swears that Club Europe redemptions are good value - at least, good value compared with the number of BA Miles you need to burn to fly Club in Europe. Still a bit of a waste, however.
Do they still do Alton Towers tickets?!
