Proair to return?
Out of curiosity, went to www.proair.com, and there was a message there saying they got their "permits" reissued, and to get ready for their return.
If this incarnation is as bad as the prior, I don't look forward to that happening!

Well, at least they kept the fares down in the markets they served and forced the other carriers to match them, at least partially. Have you checked what it costs to fly from DTW to DCA or BWI lately?

I know it must be a substantial undertaking to start an airline, particularly in Detroit. But, that doesn't excuse their poor service, and in particular, almost a YEAR in responding to me and my 5 (count em, FIVE) letters to their offices regarding really lousy service. I was a Peoplexpress fan, and still applaud their achievements; But, I had no serious problems with them, to the point of waiting a year for a simple response. Whenever I had any problem, there was resolution ON THE SPOT, perhaps because everybody was a manager of some sort. But, they're gone too, but maybe Continental is a better place because of them,....To their credit, they got Newark out of the doldrums.
