To answer the posters question. I just did a search of all the legacy carriers websites. It did not appear any have an auto insurance company as their partner or homeowner's for that matter. Several years ago I earned a few miles on NW with Liberty Mutual for taking out a policy but they stopped offering it shortly after. Sounds like paying for your policy with a credit card is only way to pad your FF account.

Currently have Liberty Mutual for auto and home but they don't offer miles. Can pay with credit cards-that's about 2000 miles for me.

All Nationwide Insurance channels (agents, website, etc) accept bank cards (credit and debit) for property and casualty polices.

This site has a wealth of knowledge. Click on 'Finance' in the menu on the left side of the front page, then click on 'Insurance' at the top of the Finance page, and you'll find all the ways to earn miles by getting quotes. Good luck!

OK, Marketing question

OK, maybe this is too much information, but I work for an insurance comapny. If we were to offer miles/points for you to get a quote, how many would make you do it? I know the purchase would be dependent on quite a few things, but how many points/miles would it take to make you get a quote? (one time deal, the databases we have will allow us to only offer it once)

Also, I am not necessarily in the position to make it happen, but if there is a strong demand for it, I can certainly suggest it. I know I have become pretty obsessed with points/miles, but maybe I just need help

I would only do it if the price was the same as the lowest quote I had gotten or slightly higher (and I mean only slightly). But many people wouldn't compare as much as I do and just might get hooked on the miles ...

But given the same price, miles would tip me to your company

I would probably ask for a quote if your company offered at least 500 miles. I definitely would do it for 1000 miles. FYI, I do look for such offers before I get all kinds of insurance estimates so as far as I am concerned it is a good marketing tool.
