What Was Your Biggest Score in 2004?
What did you do that got you and your family lots and lots of miles in 2004 -- let's say 50,000 or more?

The triple miles bonus for Jan - March was definitely a huge score for us. We each got 123,416 bonus miles plus the actual miles flown.
I sure hope there is something similar this year. It really did cause us to book extra flights, even a Valentine's Weekend trip Paris (72 hours of fun!).

once in Tokyo there a decision was made that the group needed to fly from Japan to Paris to confer with the financial backers.....
had to buy the ticket at the airport 2 hours before the flight..the most expensive first class ticket, thanks Air France, i have ever seen..plus had to put up with that " french smirk"
as they quoted me the unbelievable ridiculous price.....lol..they looked so sad when i said no problemI was the only person in First class....arrived in Paris and during the meeting it was decided that to close the deal we all needed to go and do "due diligence" at the plant in Brazil......
so we flew to Sao Paulo where luckily we spent 2 nights and then back to Chicago..thank god for hotel laundery services that can clean clothes in 3 hours if the price is right......

When Bank One/United had their double miles promo for a surprisingly-longish 3-mo run this past summer (2004)....though I tend to not accumulate United miles (nearest United airport, and weak at that, is DFW - over 100 miles away from my home)....I could not resist and this promo helped me go from about 200K to 600K+ mile balance in three months. Now - gotta figure out how in the world to use United airmiles in conjunction w/ my travel patterns and needs.

The Chase and Wachovia bonus miles for Home Equity Line of Credits. The bonus of 5,000 United miles for every 10,000 borrowed for a no fee, no cost line of credit.
Getting 650,000 miles for less than $500 was well worth the 6 hours time. The bonus has been extended into 2005 until Oct. 15th.

My wife earned Platinum on AA and Gold on CO by flying continental US only for business.
I played the NWA FFF4 game and charged all possible living expenses to our AA Citibank card and ordered lotsa stuff through AA's shopping website. All of that got us over 150k points

I entered AA's Celebrated Living Platinum List Reader's Survey Sweepstakes... got a call midway through the year saying I won 50,000 AA miles.

miles for baseball!
Giving a friend a 25,000 award ticket that I earned solely by doing gift card miles 100% for free, and in return, I got 2 sweet 3rd base line tickets to one of the greatest games in baseball history:
The Boston Red Sox beating the Yankees in game 5 of the ALCS
It was that 6hr game at Fenway pahhhk!
I'd say that was the greatest SCORE of 2004 by far.
Whose your daddy now?!
