I consider Iceland - over the summer solstice (airfare for price of tax) - my biggest score in '04. A country Ms. Coyote & I never would have chosen on our own, and one we truly enjoyed visiting.
I think it qualifies under the heading because I'm sure we musta put 50,000 miles on that rental car while we were there
Several of the photos are now framed and hanging in my home as fond memories.
Thank you flyertalk!

Earning just over 574,000 miles on the triple bonus miles program Jan to March 31st. Also, on one of the trips a problem in NRT with UA and they gave a credit voucher for $600.

Best bang for my buck was the points.com promo. I think I got about 26,000+ AA miles for each of my family members for $5.27 a piece. 100,000+ miles for about $21 or 0.0002 per mile.
Best run of luck has been getting 65,000 delta bonus miles in the last couple months. I started in August with no Delta account at all and now have 70,000+ after one $150 domestic flight and the IC Hotel promo.:
25,000 - IC Promo
1,250 - IC Promo Cert
5,000 - Transfer Bonus from IC Promo Cert
2,000 - IC Hotel Stay Bonus (used free night cert)
10,000 - Fly One Earn Now Bonus
15,000 - Comair Apology miles for a flight I had no problems with over xmas
7,000 - Dash to the Gate Game Bonus
________
65,250 Bonus Miles for very little effort
Total I now have 70,306 - I spent $150 on the IC promo and about $150 a domestic RT. And I didn't have to pay for my hotel stay for the other night for the hotel cert cause someone else picked up the tab. That's just 0.004 per mile.
peace,
~Ben~

Getting bumped last January for $1600 DL Bucks.
I flew to New England several times, to Florida several times, to Japan once. Plus Delta paid for my hotel, breakfast, lunch, and dinner the 3 days I was getting bumped.
SCORE!

The ALCS was amazing. As a St.Louis Cardinals fan, I was disappointed by our performance in the World Series, however, the Red Sox are my second favorite team.
I was hoping for a 7 game World Series, with the Cards pulling it out on an Edmonds or Pujols homer. . . .but, the Red Sox winning was OK by me . . . I grew up on Ozzie Smith, Jack Clark, Willie McGee, Tommy Herr, Ken Oberkfell/Terry Pendleton, Joaquin Andujar, John Tudor, Bruce Sutter/Todd Worrell, Darryl Porter. . .etc. ..
but my favorites were Wade Boggs (until he went to the Evil Empire), Mike Greenwell, Ellis Burks, Roger Clemens (until he went to Toronto. . .. Yanks and Astros are even worse), Oil Can Boyd (before he went crazy), Marty Barrett. . etc.
Dam Mookie Wilson and Ray Knight!!!!!
Here's to a Cards-BoSox 2005 World Series.

Anyway, should this happen, then I shall use my MILES to get out to see the games and that will be a big SCORE of 2005!
I actually could have gone to a WS game and would have been able a to give someone at work a 35k award trip to Hawaii for the tickets and a stay at their brother's place, but they cancelled the Hawaii plans! Oh well. Next time. Besides, the boos would not have liked this anyway. The sox will be in it again so I know there is a tomorrow and the sox are gonna be there again and again!...
I do have those gift card miles laying around--well, burning them up as we speak, so let the season begin! Anyone know when Cubs tix go on sale? Gotta see the June 10-12 games too!
