Dining for Miles

Does anyone know what happens when you are signed up for several Dining for Miles programs which have some of the same restaurants listed? Where will your miles post if the restaurant is listed in two or more programs? Is there some kind of priority system, is it random? Or do you get multiple credits .

I believe you can only have the credit card registered in one program when multiple programs are sponsored by the same group (and I think most of them are now). So you have to have some cards registered for say United Miles, another card for cash back, etc.

Interesting sum-up with these threads.
My problem is : is this more interesting than the Entertaienemnt book: I had a lood at the www.dlac.com, and there is nothing (or fast nothing) in the area I spend sometimes regularly. The Enter. Book as a lot of restaurants.

I understand also that it is VERY difficult to get the infos on-line, and they are often obsolete (that is true also for the Enter. Book, unfortunately, but more by restaurants going out of business..)

So, are these program really helpful when you do not want to spend to much time at them ?

It depends on how often/much do you dine out and availability (of ones you like/enjoy) of participating restaurants (in your area).

If you don't spend much on dining out, go with airline programs which has no annual fee.

Don't forget to check out

Thanks for the very helpful links. There is so much on this site, sometimes you miss the forest for all these trees.

I wouldn't really go out of my way to eat in one of the restaurants on the list, but there are a couple of local ones that we go to, and knowing they are on one list or another means I will pay with one card or the other to get the miles.

It's not worth sitting down with the book and a mapping program to maximize your dining, but if there is a good place you are eating at anyways, then you may as well be sure you are using the right card for the benefits. The airline programs are usually free, so you don't lose anything.
