Help with Frecuenta

Hi: I have tried to follow the Mexicana Frecuenta/Hilton cue. So I called and applied for a ff number and card. Got it in the mail and it says I have 7,400 Kms. The post as I understood it said if you had 6 thousand something you could transfer it to hilton. Could someone give me the next step with these points as to what I do next. I want to do it right. Thanks

7,400 km = 4,625 miles. Your next step should be to contact Frecuenta at [email protected] and ask them to transfer 3,125 miles to your HHonors account at the rate of 3,125 miles = 10,000 HHonors points. Needless to say, you give them your Frecuenta and HHonors membership numbers along with your Frecuenta PIN. After 2-3 weeks, you should see 10,000 HHonors points credited to your account.

I tried having these "bonus" miles put into my Hilton account and was told by Frequenta that this type of "bonus" miles could not be used for that purpose. Two different calls and the same answer both times. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I just mailed Frequenta and asked for 3125 miles to be transfered to 10.000 Hilton Points. They said the points would be at my Hilton account within 2 weeks.

You mention a frecuenta pin number. All I got was a card with my membership number. How do I get a pin number? Or are you refering to the Hilton Honor pin number?

Mexicana statements are in kilometers, but conversion rates are in miles.

1 mile = 1.6km
3,125 miles = 10,000 HHonors points
3,125 miles = 5,000 km

So you need to transfer 3,125 miles (5,000km) to get 10,000 HHonors points.

Now, how to do it: As stated in a post above, if you call Frequenta and ask to transfer the bonus miles, they won't. Their policy is that bonus miles can't be transferred out. However, if you make the same request to this e-mail:
[email protected]
the miles will transfer.

Why this is, I don't know. In the e-mail, simply ask to deduct 5,000km from your account and transfer 10,000 HHonors points. You need to include your name, phone number, and account numbers. I have made transfers without including a Frecuenta pin.

Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone. Well I tried following the advice of Family Flyer because it seemed the easiest. I will wait and see what happens. I am indebted to everyone for the help. Thanks again. I'll let you know what happens.

Email frecuenta and you will get your PIN, you can then email them back and request the points transfer. Ive done it, it works.

Why would you need to send them your pin when they already have it?

A "funny story". When I signed up it was on the spanish language area. I could not seem to get to the english. I know enough spanish to do this poorly (high school nearly 40 years ago). Now I have a statement that I cannot read!!! But the numbers are correct. I too embarrassed to take it further.

The PIN is shown in the area where the card is attached to the folder that they mailed to you. It says NIP:xxxx. That is your PIN.

NIP is PIN backwards. Wonder if you need to read the number backwards to them?

you can, ozstamps, but then they take your 3000 points from HHonors and transfer it into Frecuenta.
