United Lowers Elite Brackets
In a move to appease upset flyers United today announced that the were altering qualification for elite status in the year 2000.

I don't see any reason for the others to match this. If anything, they should -raise- their requirements since so many UA flyers ended up on the other carriers during the worst of it. I have already made EXP on AA this year, and I have thought about switching to UA to get Premier, but with the latest troubles, forget it. With winter weather approaching, I would rather get where I'm going.
