Miletracker (Mike)...come back and charge us!!

The old expression, "you don't know what you had till it's gone" couldn't be more true. I was a miletracker addict. I donated from time to time and I'm willing to pay $25 or so a year. (I wonder if that would motivate Mike to bring it up to date).. $25 doesn't sound like a lot but with all the other addicts out there and addicts to be..it could work. The program helped me make strategic decisions on which credit card to use for the bigger purchases.

On anther very long thread it was recommended we start a campaign. I couldn't agree more.

Mike, we need you. I'm willing to put my money out for this extremely valuable tool. Anyone else?

Let's start a conga line on who else will pay.

Count Me In!

I also made some contributions, and I would pay again.

Ditto!

Ditto! I'm waiting very patiently but its not easy! Would be glad to contribute to new Miletracker. I absolutely hate Deskport and would never contribute to that site. However, a stand alone version of Miletract would get my donation real fast.

I made a donation 2 months before Miletracker went with Deskport thinking this was one of the best sites around. Then Deskport was in the picture.

Mike please come back to us!

I thought his new thing Deskport has miletracker built in. Works good for me. Were there added features in the plain miletracker that I don't know?

I finally broke down

I downloaded Deskport yesterday. I haven't noticedd any problems with having Deskport installed - I don't see anything that I'll be using any time soon other than Miletracker.

Miletracker actually seems to be working much faster than before. I have noticed that the Southwest Airlines link is actually to the number of credits earned during the year instead of how many currently in your account. But, other than that - no problems here.

Me too

Deskport with miletracker use to be terrible, now it works great for me; i only use miletracker, I ignore the rest of stuff in deskport. Miletracker has never been faster, and i agree re the current bug re Southwest reporting total credits, but i'm sure it'll be fixed soon. I'd gladly pay for miletracker, whether standalone or part of the deskport program.

Okay, I bit and downloaded Deskport. Didn't think I would like it at first, but used it a few times and no longer are Aeroplan and SPG not working. It's quite a bit faster too as randix mentioned. Still would like (and would pay for) a stand-alone program, though.

I'm not randix , but I'll share the credit.

I don't know about Aeroplan, but the SPG site was down most of the morning, so that might have been part of the problem.

Credit for all! My apoligies.

On the stand-alone Miletracker, SPG wasn't working because of their site improvements (which was noted and updated on Deskport)... but that's not to say that SPG's weekend maintenance didn't inconvenience me when trying to book a stay in October late last night.

Miletracker...connection speed issue

In the fwiw column...I've found that using MileTracker on a dial up is an invitation to seeing lots of "N/A" or timeouts on your screen; anything faster, and it now seems to work great, very fast and reliable, and the issue on the dialup is without regard to trying and "tweak it" by using the options in the settings menu. I did get an email from the developer a few weeks ago, who was toying with the idea to try and make the program recognize (and adjust accordingly) whether you were using it on a slow or high speed basis. imho, if it's important to you, do whatever you need to do to use it with a relatively high connection speed as opposed to the prehistoric dial up...

Now that they've fixed the problems with the non-standard application window and the extra-large taskbar icon I have no problem with Deskport. I am super impressed by the speed with which you have implemented my suggestions and fixed my complaints. Thanks!

I like it but have a problem with the AMEX rewards. Will it track corporate AMEX rewards? Probably no the place to ask but still am.

I agree that Deskport is a much more acceptable alternative. I reinstalled it after the above comments and am no longer looking for an alternative.
