Me, too. I installed Deskport, and aside from not being able to resize the window, I like it as much as Miletracker. As reported by others, the speed is even better.

I found, though, that I had to re-enter all my account information. Is there a way to import it from Miletracker?

what's the story, mike?

Note from Mike Hoeffner, Developer of MileTracker - June 16, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------.................I'm close to completing discussions with another company that will allow me to offer a standalone version of MileTracker in the very near future (late July?). .......

mike,
desk port is still not working on my pc and most of the old links are outdated when using the old miletracker version (by setting the calender back).
so is there any news regarding your anouncement above ?

When deskport starts for the first time, it asks you if you want to import your old settings from miletracker. It looks for the "miletracker.settings" file from the miletracker directory in Program Files. If you removed miletracker or changed the directory structure during installation, deskport will not be able to import your settings. You can try uninstalling deskport, removing any left over items in the "deskport" folder in "Program Files" and then re-install and make sure you select import settings.

Regarding deskport, it works great for me now and I highly recommend people re-installing it. No crashes, no bloated memory space, and is able to update all my accounts in light speed!

in my opinion the current version of miletracker (embedded in deskport) is entirely usable and probably better than the "old" version.

However, it would be great if deskport could startup displaying the miletracker page by default. Does anyone know a way to do that? (If not, it would be a good feature for deskport to add: to set which page the system displays on startup).
