I agree with many of the others posts: San Francisco.

Perhaps with apartments in New York, Sydney, and a little cottage up on the hill overlooking the ocean in Laguna Beach.

Ideally, I would share my time between Paris (where I currently reside), NYC and the South of France (and Switzerland for my skiing vacation).
BTW, I find it very interesting that none of you seems to want to live in France, although it is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world.

CDG -

Actually if I had my druthers I'd do the following:

1) apartment in Paris
2) apartment in NYC
3) house in Sydney
4) house in Phx
5) house in Maine

Guess I'd better get back to work and make some money if this is going to happen!

A flat in London and an apt in NYC (where I now live) by Central Park. London is my favourite city - it just feels right.

Of course, enough money to fly in first class to all my fab vacations.

Money is no object? Then heck have mansions in every city and take a first class flight to the one with the best attraction and weather that particular week!

Pretty much what I said earlier: San Francisco. More specifically, a house up in the Twin Peaks area of SF. Perhaps a place down in Monterey Bay.....with a getaway bungalow somewhere along the Queensland coast of Oz....

dg1, if money were no object, i would rather have a permanent presidential suite in the very best hotel in each of my favourite cities....and stay one or two months in each... much easier than managing and maintaining all the mansions....

CDG, France would rank high on my list of choices, too...
An appartment overlooking the roofs of Paris somewhere in Marais, and definitely une maison a la campagne in the South of France... anything close ot the sea will do!
Besides, an appartment in NY, a villa in Hamburg and a hotel room in Hong Kong.
... still working on the financials though...

Howsabout Jackson Hole, WY in the winter and Monterey, CA in the summer. Or is it the other way around?

belle -- if money was no object you could pay someone to do the managing I stick with mansions.. here a city, there a mansion, everywhere a mansion mansion

To what the person who posted really wanted I'd have to agree with San Francisco...
