I talked to LP yesterday. They weren't exactly complaining, but when I asked them when my documents would be processed they said kind of sadly that they have "soooo many!" I felt a little sorry for them.

AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, 42 PEOPLE WILL COMPLETE THE 500,000 RUN AND 64 WILL EARN 1,000,000 MILES. SOME OF THE POSTS ARE BIT AMBIGUIOUS, SO THE NUMBERS MAY BE OFF A LITTLE.

ON A BIT OF A SAD NOTE, ONE OF THE WOMEN WHO WAS PLANNING A SECOND RUN WITH US NEXT WEEK WAS TOLD BY HER DOCTOR THAT SHE MAY NOT GO. SHE IS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY AND HER WHITE COUNT IS TOO LOW TO TRAVEL. SHE'S THANKFUL FOR THE 500,000 BONUS MILES SHE EARNED IN MAY.

Flew in late last night, completing a domestic run (DFW-LAX-LAS-DFW) on National that gives me the three partner segments that I needed.

This completes all of the requirements for the million mile bonus, so chalk up another potential mile-ionaire!

Had posted earlier on our upcoming trip (so don't double count us), but now I can say 4 completed 500,000 mile trip tonight. The 5th (brother of my law firm partner) unfortunately lost his passport while in transit at the Guatemala airport, didn't notice it until we were in Nicaragua last night. Was held by Nicaraguan immigration until today, was taken to consulate to get replacement papers, but missed the TACA flight to MIA (for NICA). Don't know if he will get out on another flight to MIA this afternoon, or will wait until tomorrow to get the TACA flight tomorrow. Will post more later. Generally a good trip, until this unfortunate problem.

2 more for the Million, done 5/1 through 5/8.

I'm trying to see if we're the youngest ones to do it-- the other guy is 20, and I'm 24.

Latin Pass told me they think 200+ have done it. My guess it will climb quickly these final 2 weeks.

I did the 1MM run June 9-13 and met two other travelers going for the million.
It was a great trip and I look forward to visiting Latin America again soon.

I'M ONLY COUNTING REGULAR READERS OF FLYERTALK IN THE NUMBERS I'M RECORDING EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THAT THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE WHO ARE DOING IT, IN FACT WE MET 5 PEOPLE IN THE GUATAMALA AIRPORT WHO WERE ON "THE RUN'" BUT HAD NEVER HEARD OF FLYERTALK - BOY, ARE THEY MISSING SOMETHING!

AND SO THE NUMBERS TOTAL 42 FOR 500,000 MILES AND 79 FOR 1,000,000 MILES.

Completed the 500k on June 16 with a COPA flight PTY-MIA. Good experience. No problems in Latin America ( the only delays and cnacellation were in the U.S.).

million miles completed 4/10 - 6/10. i was in and out of the US four times. the final time back thru LAX, i was swarmed and questioned by half a dozen customs agents. didn't think they were going to let me back in the country. put on latex gloves and searched everything. especially didn't like that layover in bogota. they tried a bunch of tricks to see if i'd crack. called me a drug smugglers dream.
