Kellog's AA Promotiom - Now Hard to Find

I'm starting a new thread because I am finding it harder to find cereal with the AA promotion coupons. Other promotions (or none at all) seem to have taken over. I checked here in Manhattan and last weekend in Jewel and Dominick's in Chicago.

Anyone else notice this?

seattle is awash in the coupons on Kelloggs. Rarely on sale though and not worth it to me unless the really cut the price.

added: Look at that....2 posts, same message, from seattle, in the same minute!

I picked up a case of crispix last week for this reason...GREAT price (normally about $4 a box) and the certs. They just have to scan 3 at a time and pay, and then scan three more and pay. They're usually willing so long as it's not busy...late at night is good.

Lots of boxes at several supermarket chains near Boston, though no Corn Flakes (the only kind that usually sells for much under $3.50 a box). I'll have to see if anyone around here has Crispix on sale too.

BTW, johnndor: there are a lot of "Bay areas" in this world ... out here, we think we're in one too! It's like in sci-fi novels where the natives of every planet call it by their equivalent of "earth." Good thing your info identifies which one you probably meant!

...meant to be humorous..

Having lived in SF I not only know of which Bay Area he speaks but also can attest to the local insistence that it is the ONLY bay area. I really enjoyed travelling in California and pissing off the Souther Californians by referring to SF as "the city" they knew very well which city i meant, and hated me for it As I recall, when the now 'golden state' basketball team played in SF the jerseys said 'the city' gotta love geographical elitism like that I do know that Boston thinks of itself as a 'bay area' as well (not to mention the bay state) but I would hazard to guess most americans would go with SF when they hear the reference, just as when they hear 'the queen' there is an automatic assumption that it is Liz II.

However, "The City" refers to New York. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

Sometime last week, Jewel in chicago had a 3 day half price sale on ALL Kellogs cereals, and I found boxes with the AA coupons. since they were out of a couple I was able to get rainchecks. It was nice to be able to get a variety -no corn flakes for a change. Not all the Jewels had them.

There are tons of Corn Flakes with AA miles on sale in Grand Rapids. Just passed a huge display of them in the local grocery store yesterday afternoon. A few weeks ago, another grocery store in the area had the large cornflakes on sale for $1.37, all with the AA certificates. And they had a truckload of them. Too bad I'm not collecting AA miles!

These cost about $2.00 a box in the Seattle area. Assuming a charitable donation takes place at 28% bracket that is $1.44 per 100 miles. Is this worth buying 800 boxes for 2 free trips to the Northeast of Brasil?

myriad and SJC AA:

You're both wrong! The "City" is Manhattan, and Manhattan alone. No ifs ands or buts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plenty of boxes in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. Including Corn Flakes.

Price is no object; I would be eating the cereal anyway. Cheaper is always better, just not a criteria here.

I wrote to Kellogg's and told them to never terminate the program. In exchange I promised to never eat Post or General Mills cereals again.

Miles = Loyalty.

P.S.

Bay Area = San Francisco

The City = San Francisco

Manhattan has been "the city" WAAAAAAAAAY before SF was little more than western wilderness.

It has been "the city" since it was New Amsterdam!!!

Safeway's Crispix is not on sale anymore, and the boxes they do have have another promotion on them - maybe the free watch? Should have bought more while I had the chance.

- John (from the Bay area - in the context of my location - Sunnyvale - which makes that San Francisco Bay - not to offend anyone )
