The miles are an okay value, the real "Value" in the long run in collecting FF miles on AA is that when you hit 1M miles you are clasified as Gold for life. So any miles add up.

On top of everyone trying to top the pudding guy!

Using coupons cuts the cost. If you redeem the miles for a trip on an expensive route or for FC then the savings are better.

If gold level gives you free upgrades then I can see the value. Also true that some times you just can't get the cheap fares and you have to break out the miles. Still, it isn't the kind of pudding guy deal where it is worth ordering kellogs by the palette.

Confirming what Kellogg's told me on the phone: sending multiples is OK. Mine posted today. They post as multiple lines of 500 each which seems like more effort, but as long as the total is right who cares?

Has anybody heard anything regarding the codes inside the Kellogg boxes? I've been saving these things for several months now. The Kellogg website didn't have anything on this.

Also, go to the Kellogg website and look at the AAdvantage promotion. They have a questionnaire you can fill out for a change to win FF miles in a weekly drawing.

DC_flyer

Thank you for the heads up on the Kellogg's website FF mile contest.

You reduced your chances of winning all for us.

I pay homage.

TEXAS YANKEE: Sorry for the late reply, but I've been away from the board for a few days. In the Austin area I've found the cornflakes at the HEB store on RR620. Come take in an Express game, buy some flakes, make a day out of it!

FYI Jewel in the Chicago area has cornflakes on sale for $1.50 (18 oz size) with plenty of AA packaging.

Put up a sign up on my apartment building message board selling boxes of Cornflakes for $1. A guy just called up saying he would buy 10 and laughed when he heard what I was doing. Guess I will be getting some Kelloggs(and some cheap miles) afterall http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Off to buy the stuff now, hope some FTer hasn't beaten me to it and cleaned out the shelves already.

myleguy Jun 18, 2000 12:39 pm

Denver Shoppers: most King Soopers have the 18oz boxes of Corn Flakes with mileage for $1.79 with your Sooper Card. I also bought a big box of raisins to mix in with the corn f lakes because they're so dull on their own. Also, there's a $1.00 off 2 boxes of any Kellogg's cereal in today's Post.
