help! nw/klm emergency!!
hi everyone:
here's the skinny... i have never flown nw/klm before. i have in fact just enrolled in worldperks last night.
my company has decided yesterday that they want to send me on a trip from sfo-ams-sfo in business class this week!
do any one of you brilliant people know of any promos i could preregister in to take advantage of this trip? it would be a shame to only come away with the 50% business class bonus. wpks didn't even give an enrollment bonus!
i know there is a special nw 800 number that you call to pregister for such promos, and you have to enter special extensions for particular offers.
if ANYONE has any suggestions (double miles, free domestic trips, add'l bonus miles etc), i would greatly appreciate it!
thanks a mil! keep on flyin'!

Here you go-
Buy the ticket on NWA.com. If it is your first time, you will get 4000 bonus miles.
if you split the ticket and buy 2 one-ways, you get 4000 bonus miles
for the first, then 1000
bonus for the second.
Also, if you manage to route yourself through Memphis, you get TRIPLE MILES!!!!

i forgot to add in my original post..
my company already bought the ticket (their policy dictates all travel to be booked through their designated travel agent).
i am flying nonstop from sfo-ams and nonstop on the way back, so i can't even do the memphis thing!
so, although these are very good suggestions, i can't benefit from it this time..
thanks though!

you're right, i should be able to route as i please.. however, this is a very time sensitive flight and my boss wants me there at a certain time and a certain time back. otherwise i would totally reroute it.
i don't have much to work with.. i have to fly on the itinerary as is..
any other suggestions??? thanks!

SFO-MEM-AMS leaves at 1:30PM from SFO and arrives into AMS at 12:15PM+1 while the SFO-AMS leaves at 4 PM and arrives at 11:30AM+1. With those times, they are close and the extra miles would be worth a 3 hour earlier flight and a later 45 minute arrival. Then the return u could do the AMS-SFO and at least get the bonus one way giving u a nice amount of miles for 2 tickets or close to 2 free domestic tickets.

Yep, thats the great thing about unrestricted tix .. YOU get to make route choices!
If Cabrits can't order the ticket on line, and can't or won't change the routing, both of which gain lots of pointds I do wonder why the question was asked here in the first place?!

I think alot of the newer members do not realize that the members with alot of miles and good status make alot of sacrifices to attain them.
I know I have flown connections for segments, I have also did alot of partner activities to get miles.
I believe they wanted to know if there was a bonus out there. I know United sometimes had those bonuses for LAX-Europe get 5,000 bonus miles.. but you can not beat TRIPPLE MILES through Memphis... I would reroute... it is crazy not to...
7000 miles vs 21000 miles... for 4 hours... yes.. you need to be inconvienced to get the real good amount of miles, unfortunatly.
