Ok, I had the opposite problems of everybody else. Using the same notebook computer, I had no problem logging in at work, but I just tried it at home and got the following error:
No Response was received from the server. The DigiChat Server may not be running, or may not be a compatible version. Please contact the administrator in charge of this site.

java.io.InterruptedOException: Read timed out
So, adminstrator, I am contacting you.... :-)

I get the following error message:
No Response was received from the server. The DigiChat Server may not be running, or it may be because you are ugly. Please contact the administrator in charge of this site.

I for one like the live chat. It can't replace the BB's but it's like to talk LIVE with my "relatives!"

Thanks Webflyer folk,a nd I hope to see Randy and some of you on soon!

It worked fine for me earlier from my motel room on the laptop - talked with Catman, SMessier, and Empress. But can't get it to work at the airport using same laptop but different phone line. Oh well.

Has anyone noticed it takes a few tries to get the Digichat loaded?

Can't be high activity. I'm on with Smessier.

But great FOUR PAWS UP board WebFlyer!

When I am on a powerful computer, I can get on at any time without exception. When I am on my creaky old P-75 at home, forget about it...

Worked fine for me talking with Baze, Catman, Old Gold and Nutz. The only bad thing is you can log on in multiple names without logging out, weird.

Cheers Scott

Ditto!
I also got in without any problems at 8:00 EDT but there was no one there. I waited approx. 5 minutes, but got impatient and left.
Hope to connect again soon.

I also tried from work this morning with success. Our T1 connection makes things a bit faster. Unfortuneatly, there was nobody there, but what do you expect at 8:00 Eastern Time.

Keep the faith.

On Wednesday, November 19th, I signed on to go to the chat room and my computer froze up on me (for the second time). Apparently, as I was trying to escape the nonresponsive area, it showed me in the chat room. Well...I had no idea because on this end I had a half loaded screen.
To make a long story short. I found out that there were a few people who were acknowledging my presence in the chat room and I was not responding. I am sorry if anyone thought I was lurking and ignoring them.
Please accept my apology, I did not know until later that evening that my name showed up when I was not there.

Cheri
