Typing this from the CRC in SLC. Worked fine again...but I was the only one there so I left.
Spent some time on this AM with baobab, Damian & a few others. Agree about the passwords, but it seems the applet takes a long time to load.

Thanks Michael, I enjoyed communicating with you live yesterday, I agree with Catman, we should be able to create our own logos, and maybe use a combination of program logos, after all how many frequent flyers limit themself to just one program?

OMNI for KOKONUTZ: Actually Geo1004's 'mommy" is the Catfather who alwasy protects members of his "family." SO be nice mice everyone!
Friday night we had nine people on the chat board talking about Starwood upgardes in Hawaii, Las Vegas Hotel suggestions and steakhouses in texas. it was fun.
I'm going try to get on later.

Didn't have any firewall problems (using it at home) but after waiting 15 minutes for the JAVA connection and seemingly going nowhere, I exited.

Michael: a few suggestions:
I think there should be some kind of program where we can only get onto live chat through our ORIGINAL AND ONE AND ONLY FLYERTALK NAMES. Here's why:
*We don't want some psycho to go on the board and start posting leud and obnoxious things.
*We know the posters and know things will be ok.
*Worst case synerious: what if we get gossipy and it's about that person who has logged in under another name. World war three (now CMDR CATCOP who has not watched over live chat yet would NEVER let that happen.)
Also, maybe a password so flyertalkers can get on teh MAIN site and chat.
I know, this sounds very restrictive but IMHO I would like the chat informative.. and clean.
Sorry if everyone else disagrees.

Just had a chat with Catman, Burkey, & flyguy. Worked fine. I agree that the use of existing FT identities should be password-protected. Also, it would be nice if the main BBS screen carried a list of who was in the chat rooms at a given time.

I cannot move beyond the nickname sign-in, and it is now 3:24P EDT. After a minute or so I received an error message to the effect of "The DigiChat server may not be running..." That was apparent.
Other than that, the chat room has been fantastic, and I am glad that it has been up and running.

Tried it last night for first time and liked it. Small attendance but lively conversation. Is there a way to permanetly set preferences?
