I e-mailed Click Reward within 24 hours letting them know I was worried. With your encouragement I just e-mailed them again and I was able to state that all my friends have received their miles in spite of donating after me ( and apparently BEFORE hitting your credit cards. Mine hit 3/18. so there really is no excuse.

This last e-mail worked like a charm. Within 5 minutes, the miles showed up in my account - well maybe just coincidence. Anyway, I'm happy. I will go do my transfer now to starpoints. Thanks guys.

JDaziel,
Yes it will be deductible, as WWF is an eligible charity for US tax purposes, the only issue will be the amount of the deduction. If WWF receipt shows $500 donated, and $300 in compensation for clickmiles (using 20miles/$ at 3 cents each), you may be down to a $200 deduction. of course you may try to dispute that valuation, as 3 cents per clickmile seems a bit high, and you know WWF isnt giving 60% of its revenue to clickrewards so it isnt costing them nearly that much. even using 10/$ and saying clickrewards not WWF is giving the other 10miles, takes you to a 30% nondeductible part.
Opinions?

I donated $501 and got 20040 clickmiles (it posted in 3 days). I then transfered 10,000 miles to Starwood and will be receiving 20,000 Starwood points. I will then transfer 20,000 Starwood points for 25,000 miles.
Therefore for $501, after this is all said and done, I will end up with:
1) 1002 AAdvantage miles for charging it on ClickCiti AAdvantage card
2) 10,040 Clickpoints still left account (will leave there until they offer another double bonus opportunity
3) 25,000 Continental One-Pass miles. (I will transfer the 20,000 Starwood points for 25,000 CO One-Pass miles).
(Note: I did $501 instead of $500 just in case. One of the wordings said 40 for 1 points for over $500. I was just being careful).

Since you can only transfer 10,000 points and get double to Starwood, you may want to hold on to any points beyond that, because Clickrewards offers double redemption at least once a year typically. You'll be better off just holding on to the Clickrewards points until another double redemption opportunity comes along.

WOW!! Less than 24hr for the points to show up in my clickrewards account, transferred right away to SW yesterday, and now they're in my SW account already! Now that's what one shoulc expect in this electronic age.
Now only if my last lousy 10 MyPoints would post so I can cash out there as well.
