Methinks it is too late

Another urban myth has been created.

KLM's telephone switchboard is probably being flooded right now.

I can see the Today show now... "KLM denies departure from Latinpass as mass panic sweeps community, people jump out of apartment windows at thought of not being able to use bonus miles earned on recent promotion."

cheers peter

I want to make a public apology for an April Fools prank that got way out of hand. It never occurred to me that it would have the unintended consequences of hurting someone's plans to do the LatinPass trip. If any hurt was caused, I sincerely regret it and will take steps to rectify the situation, to whatever extent I can.

Please be aware that I have written craz an apology via e-mail and will try to rectify the situation with him privately.

I also want to apologize to the folks at WebFlyer who run this board for starting something of this nature. I certainly did not mean to cause trouble, just a little fun.

I thought it was pretty funny. As I mentioned somewhere else, I haven't been taken in by an April Fool's joke in years, and it's nice to know I'm still young, innocent and gullible. Of course, I didn't cancel any tickets, so my sense of humor is still in place. I also mentioned elsewhere that it is worrisome that I am so paranoid of LatinPass that I'm willing to believe any old bad thing about them without any evidence. Boo on me.

I just got back and read this thread first on Flyertalk. I was taken by the KLM prank not so much because that is my plan for the miles, but that I am flying KLM in 2 weeks for my partner flights. I thought I was going to have to buy more tickets. I'm glad I was out of the country for this April Fools joke and got to read through the whole thread in a few minutes. Anyway I must say that after bouncing through Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Nicaragua that I can't wait to do the next part of my LatinPass trip when I will have time to stay a few days in each place and really enjoy the cultural experience. I just have to say that flying over the Andes in Colombia and seeing the rivers cascading down the mountains and into the lowlands to form the Orinoco River is one of the most incredible sights I have ever seen. I loved my trip. If you are sitting on the fence thinking about going, then my advice is --Just Do It!
